When connected to flow meters, flow logging can be used to identify patterns of consumption or to quantify levels of leakage. Pressure logging can be used to identify demands on the network and to verify minimum levels of pressure are being met throughout the network.

4Water Ltd offer data loggers with a variety of inputs, communications media and software packages.

Unless otherwise stated/requested, all WPL data-loggers meet the following specification:

Solid state. Non volatile.
Memory data retention:
 Life of battery.
Clock type:
 Crystal controlled calandar clock with leap year adjustment.
Power:
 Internally powered battery cell(s).
Battery life:
 5 years typical.
Recording Interval:
 User programmable from 1 second up.
Logging method(s):
Time based or threshold logging.
Data storage:
 Rotating store, or store until full.
Operating temp:
 -20 deg C to +50 deg C.
Protection classification:
 IP68 (submersible to 2m).
